Yesterday, I got a letter from LAPD informing me that my September speeding ticket had, in fact, been thrown out. To quote Tenacious D - I beat the bastards of city hall. Though it took several steps and a liberal dose of bureaucracy, the $180 check I'll soon be accepting makes the whole thing worth it.
The amazing part was I mailed in a Written Trial By Declaration form, so I didn't even have to testify in court (although it could have been cool).
My advice? Know the law and use... these... resources... to help you beat your speeding ticket. Godspeed.
