[ The Future is Now ]

Beijing is so polluted right now that athletes are deciding whether or not to skip the opening ceremonies in order to compete as healthily as possible at the Olympics. They've been describing on the radio this post-apocalyptic image of competitors all wearing soot-covered masks as if the entire world has been burned out and the air is too bad to breathe.

It reminds me of Sigur Ros' music video about young kids playing in a polluted, ashen snow (as well as this ad from India).
